When working in Cognos Connection or Report Studio, this Java error message may appear if not enough memory is allocated to the Cognos dispatcher.
In order to increase the memory allocated to the dispatcher perform the following steps:
1. Start Cognos Configuration.
2. Stop the Cognos 8 service.
3. In the Explorer window, under Environment, Cognos 8 service, click Cognos 8.
4. Click the Value box next to the Dispatcher maximum memory in MB property and type a
new value. Cognos recommends that you change the value to 768.
5. From the File menu, click Save.
6. Restart the Cognos 8 service.
