Cognos Connection -- No entries for a user in a new group

If a user has been added to a new user group and experience missing items on the Cognos Connection portal then you should validate the user permissions for the user and the new group.  The namespace that the user belongs to must have traverse rights for the new user group.

 

How to add “Traverse Permission”

1. Log in to Cognos Connection as a system administrator.

2. Click Directory.

3. Click Set Properties next to the namespace.

4. Click the Permissions tab.

5. If it is not already there, add the new users group to the namespace.

6. Click the check box for the new users group and ensure that Traverse permission is granted.

7. Click Apply, and click OK.

8. Test with a user that belongs to the new user group.
