If you are creating a content store in Oracle or upgrading a ReportNet content store in Oracle to Cognos 8, and you receive the following error message:
“Content Manager can not initialize the content store with the assistance of the initialization file: dbupgrade2_0021-to-2_0022_oracle.sql ORA-22858 invalid alteration of datatype”
This error can occur if the Oracle database compatibility level is set lower than 9.0.1.
